Theyâre great fun. I havenât played with them for a few years but I loved them. I recall reading that the new ones run Ubuntu 20 (but double check that if itâs important to you). Not sure how your computer skills are but if youâre good building them, you might also keep in mind that you can build a small Ryzen box for very cheap these days and itâll blow away your Chromebook and will probably last a decade in use.
Are you familiar with Arduino?
Yes, but Iâve never worked with one. Never had a project for one. I believe theyâre programmable circuit boards that donât run any normal OS so theyâre only good for programmed tasks like automating your house. I could be wrong on that, btw, so better double check what I wrote if youâre interested in them.

Totally. I am planning to build some Ryzen boxes to replace my computers in Vancouver when I get home. Those are getting ancient, although they still run fine. I wonât go with the high-end gamer versions. I donât recommend those unless youâre a gamer. The low end ones are super fast and donât require any special cooling.
In the end Iâm more interested in robotics and looking for a way in.

When you go out do you notice immediate effects when you return home and settle down? Like you might eat and feel kind of a headache or just not eat at all and check emails and then just lay down and feel difficulty breathing and headache and then get up a few hours alter and feel like working out?
I mean quick onset of symptoms and alleviation within hours?
