If only the ending could be as great as the beginning. Unfortunately, he ended on a self serving note about giving blood and getting it back. If he didn’t get that blood back, it’s not likely he would sacrifice of himself and give again, which confirms his self-serving motive that there is a sense of pleasure to be had in helping his fellow creature. He actually has to feel pleasure from his acts of kindness toward humanity in order to commit his time and efforts. What are you doing it for if you don’t genuinely care about humanity enough to do it solely for them without some kind of return on your works?
