if you look at it objectively its probably steinitz, far ahead of his time but his time was the least advanced so therefor he couldnt even come close to everyone after him

Gukesh needs to win. I don’t hate Ding and I dislike some of the anti-Chinese crap I’ve seen about him, but he is very boring. Gukesh is boring, too, but slightly less. Neither will create any kind of resurgence in chess, aside from possibly in India.

That’s so close to blacking out. It’s like trying to do math or read in a very dim shadow in a dream. Oxygen factor or just blood.

It just seems to be being able to black out the hardest and most unable to recover. From there find the right person to black out on at the best time for you and probably worst time for the other party.

i guess ding opening with f3 was the most “exciting” of this entire game… very boring lol

i understand there is nothing to win anymore for magnus (since he would never beat the longest 27 year reign of lasker lol) but still: if you dont play, you can never be the best player
