I have friends that use it today. Theyâre late 50s to early 60s. Fully functional. Theyâre either retired or worrying about retirement. Drug use is just part of North American culture.

I remember a friend of mine showing me fentanyl. Heâs an unsuccessful guy about 60, although this was a few years ago so he wouldâve been 57 or so. It looked like a candy cane. Whatever, we each make choices others disapprove of. I take low dose prednisone so I can breathe. Some doctors disapprove telling me I might need hip surgery when Iâm 70. I tell them that not breathing is a significant side effect. They donât care. Neither do I care what they say and I use the pred and breathe normally.

I just googled her. No signs of recent activity. I hope sheâs ok. I doubt it, though. Last time she came here (a few years ago), she was trying desperately to keep her job driving a school bus. She had just flubbed something or other and they were threatening to fire her. She was living in her car and only had internet by sitting in a grocery store. If she lost that job, it didnât sound like she had a plan B.
