The only good part of zoom.

I like zoom about 3% of the time. My wife yells into the phone when she talks and also yells into the computer while zooming. That is fine on the other end but if you are 12 inches away it is a problem.

Do you like zoom?

I use them all.

My sister bought my mother a Facebook Portal device. It’s great. It takes all the tech out of it and my mother just touches the call or answer buttons. We videoconference regularly and she’s 87.

For work, I am into Google Meet, mainly because all my clients use it and it’s built into Gmail now so there’s no new software to install or even another site to go to. Very convenient.

I use Xoom when needed. No issues with it. The background-removal stuff is crap but I just don’t use that. The ham radio groups I belong to use Xoom but I don’t really attend the meetings lately.

My woman uses Microsoft Teams for her university. They like that system. Looks fine.

I like that these systems are forcing people to get familiar with their tech. For instance, even my woman now knows how to change the input sound to her lav mic and the output sound to her earbuds. Before, not only would she call me, she wouldn’t even really understand what input sound and output sound are and why the stupid computer didn’t just do what she wanted.

I like google a lot. It was perfect timing. Be tough at work without it. I like that tech is saving the lab now. And many businesses. I miss yelling at people at meetings. I tend to not do that when I look into a computer.

the computer also looks into you

Hey I want to talk to you about something serious. It’s about you getting those cats. There is a disease related to cats. You know diseases have different causes I discussed in the coronavirus thread thread. Remember those? Viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites. This isn’t a virus or bacteria hinting at poor hygiene. This is a parasite. Toxoplasma gondii that results in toxoplasmosis.

Now the parasite completes in life cycle in cats. And you know some parasites can actually hijack the hosts thinking. Studies even have shown mice infected with this parasite attracted to certain proteins in cat urine. I think you have the parasite and it is causing you to seek out cats to be near to carry out its life and reproductive cycle.

Do you find yourself attracted to cat urine Dan?

Dan’s cats are cute, Mark. Leave him (and them) alone already.

I don’t doubt you truly find the kittens cute and adorable. That you are a kind hearted and warm person who thinks little about the efforts to house and feed them who finds great reward in just watching them or even playing games with string or patting them.

But, I know you are a a person who is very lazy and likes to throw himself onto work to avoid physical exertion. Working overtime shifts and doing wood projects like you sell furniture for a living. Also all the chess. You know you do this. A parasite that would drive you to keep the company of cats and make you do work without active mental effort would be very appealing to somebody as butt lazy as you are.

Here read it for your yourself, this is the best link I can do but it explains the lifecycle. You lack drive, You always cast yourself on any drive and work cycle without hesitation and absolute disregard for your body. Because you sense a true lack of life. A parasite would give you all these things and take care of most of your mental burden.
