Hmm. I’d have to think about it. That should be lifetime. If I actually thought he would obey that, then I would be ok with jt. He has no regard for life, so I think I would lock him up for a while.
If I was king of the world, I’d sentence him to 6 months in prison plus a lifetime driving ban, with a 5 year sentence suspended pending good driving behaviour (meaning if he’s caught violating the driving ban he goes to jail for 5 years).
But let him do day-passes during his 6 months so he could continue to work. No point bankrupting him or putting him on welfare. That just harms society more.
Sounds fine, but I would not hire him. Landscaper might be the only job I would hire him for, but I doubt that.
Silly, I wouldn‘t give him any time behind bars. Suspension of his licence for a year, social work and a fine appropriate to his assets would do it for me, as nobody got harmed. Presumed he is mentally fit for driving after that year.
PS: Funny, he got more years in jail in the US than most rapists receive for rape in Germany.
I would agree with both of you if I thought he wouldn’t snap like that again. Taking his license away doesn’t mean he won’t do the same thing. We have a lot of people in the USA that drive without a license. He had no regard for human life and seems totally unstable.
This isn’t about punishment. Just protecting society.
What do you think should be done with the suspects. Assuming all are caught. I would say none of them should ever get a license again. That might not prevent them from driving. I’m not sure at this point how many years they should get. That victim could have been injured. I’d sue them as much as is allowed.

Lucky me I got a gas cap message today and was able to remedy it with a locking gas cap for 2.78 as surprisingly my normal store is on clearance and closing. I opened them up and greased the caliper. Pins. But I’m gon got grease the center tube again and adjust rears when I rotate my tires.
Saved myself a lot of money on repairs and spent considerable at mechanic. So fortunate it was just the gas cap and not some small hole poked anywhere on the evap lines or tank.
True. Do you live near the ocean? I’m guessing cars in new England do not last as long as southern California. Unless you get salt water rust. I was planning on looking at getting a car next monday or Tuesday, but it looks like they are too expensive, so I’m just going to hope it doesn’t die.

I hate defending criminals but to say he had no regard for life is extreme. He didn’t push that car into a deep ravine. He’s a scammer but he clearly doesn’t hit hard enough to cause death. He is criminally negligent imo and should absolutely be imprisoned and stripped of his license, permanently.
You are confusing the two videos. I was referring to the road rage guy when I said he had no regard for human life. Not the scammers.
I would say all 5 should lose their license permanently. Sentencing is a little different. The first guy clearly had a meltdown. These 4 were planning this. They could both do their acts again, but if the scammers lose their license, they won’t be able to pull that again, so I’d say shorter sentences. The best would be to send them back to Venezuela.
I’m actually ok with deportation in such cases. These are not good people.

Oh. That driver was completely reckless and mean looking. Lots of innocent people trying to get out of the way. I couldn’t really understand him. Too many voices and too much screaming and yelling.
