The state of the world being what it is, I predict more Mad Max than Jetsons.
The US may go Mad Max, I admit, although Iām not writing it off yet. Most of the rest of the world should go Jetsons, I think.
How are self driving cars going to handle blizzards? I assume most wonāt be out but I need to go to work in blizzards. Does this mean they wont need windshield wipers? It would be great if it could drive me to work and not have any wipers so I could just sleep through the blizzard and walk into work.

They have robotic lawnmowers now. I wonder if they will have robotic snowblowers. I like snow blowing actually. I do it around 4 am with the street lights on. No neighbors up. The school quiet. The flags whipping. It feels like an Edward hopper painting. My snowblower is corded and gasless so itās pretty quiet. Definitely wakes me up and a waffle and shower afterwards feels great. If I could get a machine to drive me to work after that would be terrific.
Jeeze Dan, I have to give you great respect. Maybe growing up in the north you learn how to live with the cold and snow. I would be hunkered down under quilts until spring.

Agreed. I find Florida too hot for much of the year. Then again, itās not all about what youāre used to. I am from Vancouver and while I can easily handle the weather there, I donāt like it in winter. No snow and not really cold but rain for 4 months. Unpleasant. Medellin is much nicer weather wise, but the occasional thunder storm is unpleasant.
With sensors that can see much better than human eyes.

I guess these are going to be used pretty soon. He built the prototype a few years ago but it would be difficult for police to actually practice with them.

Looks like autonomous driving isnāt going well in europe. They will just have to have certain areas where it is only autonomous and that includes no bikes.

An autonomous car? Iām not sure. You could buy a used tesla in Florida that has autonomous driving but its pretty useless since you canāt take you hands off the wheel during that mode. And you probably need 50000 dollars.
