Cars

Tesla, like Apple, is just a bit too cultish for my tastes.

It turned her hair green so beware.

I almost put this in the tech topic. I have never donated to a kickstarter. Apparently this can do as much as some of the 5000 dollar machines. It’s mobile and is supposed to cost under 100 bucks. I’d consider donating. I would probably never get one. My next car will probably be electric so a lot of this will be obsolete.

I have an obd scanner but it’s pretty basic. I also have a self charging battery charger. Or something that jolts the battery. So if I have a dead battery I don’t need another car. I guess I’ll sell it if I get an electric. Or give it to my wife.

Rain-X 620100 Waterless Car Wash & Rain Repellent, 23 oz. (Pack of 4) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R69PVJG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_r1hxDb81B5EEW

This stuff is pretty good if you can’t wash your own car or don’t have a driveway. No water needed. 8 bucks per 32oz bottle. Not particularly cheap.

If you use that do you still need wipers in light rain?

Good question. I’m not a good person to ask. I never use wipers in light rain lol.

Have you used it?

This is different from the Rain-x for windshields. You don’t need wipers in very light rain with the windshield treatment. Since you don’t have a car, you could use it on your glasses (which you said you need).

I still have a car in Canada (at least for now) and it rains a lot in Vancouver. I might give that Rain-X stuff a try.

What do you do to preserve your Vancouver car while you are away?

Nothing. It probably has an inch thick coating of dust right now. I need to sell it.

I wouldn’t use this on your windshield. I have a friend in the city that uses it. His car looks great. I wished I had when I didn’t have a driveway. I won’t use it now since I have a hose.

Minneapolis has made it illegal for new businesses to put in a drive thru. Any business. Interesting that perhaps the coldest city in the USA is doing this.

Interesting. Bank of America in Orlando has shut down all of its drive thrus.

Interesting. From what I understand, if you are grandfathered in you can keep your drive thru in Minneapolis. Towns do this here. Usually rich towns.

What is the motive for banning drive-thrus?

I’m thinking exhaust, noise, health. One of those 3. Maybe snobbery. Most of the towns that do it here are snooty. One of those 4 maybe.

Interesting.

This reporter has an annoying voice so listen with a low volume, but she was informative. Not sure how I like it. DEFINITELY would not do it for used and that’s probably all they sell.

I actually would not be totally against it since it has a 7 day policy. That is a must. I’d have a mechanic check it out and if they found a bunch of codes, I’d just return it.

The biggest problem is you can’t see the title ahead of time I assume.

Silly gimmick.
