I live Canadian healthcare. My wife got cancer surgery under Canadian healthcare, and radiation treatment after. I have been diabetic in Canadian healthcare for decades. Throughout her cancer journey (and she has been cancer free for three years), she never waited more than a week for anything, usually less. If I want to see a doctor, I can be talking to one in an hour or two on videoconference at any time, and then he’ll send my prescriptions to my pharmacy where they’ll be filled and delivered the same day, unless I want to pick them up in which case it’s even faster.

A doctor on videoconference IS a real doctor. The same doctor I’d seen in person. If I want to see one in person, it takes a few days, generally, or up to a week. You can always see one immediately going to a walk in clinic but you might wait 2 or 3 hours there.

I don’t have a Dr. Have encountered various rude or racist or anti Semitic staff at govt health facilities. ER closures are a recurring staple of local TV news. I have been to SMH and the lineup is out the ER waiting area and other times just 6 ppl. They are building an addition.
Walk in clinics are often full within 10 minutes of opening in the morning or close for days at a time.

In Toronto 7 bent cops tried to recruit the Toronto South Detention Commander he declined so they tried to kill him.
