A second A bomb was dropped on Japan 3 days later. Japan except to save the Imperial family surrendered shortly thereafter. Their invading forces had occupied Korea for 35 years and controlled lots of China for some time.
Japan first invaded Manchuria on 18 September 1931, and then launched a full‑scale invasion of China on 7 July 1937 following the Marco Polo Bridge Incident.
