The 25% tax is on the importing business, which will be paid for by the consumer (you and I). So, that will hurt the exporting business if the importer cannot afford to pay the government 25%.
The 25% tax that the importer needs to pay the government happens immediately. Before the product is in hand. So, unless the importers have a surplus to pay 25%, since they haven’t sold this product at a higher price yet how are they expected to pay that with no warning?
With the importer not being able to pay the 25%, that will hurt the exporter, which I guess is the point of thid maybe?
It’s odd that righties like this because they are agreeing to a 25% tax to the federal government, which they seem to hate paying. I think they are too dumb to realize they will be paying the taxes.

Righties are so dumb that they want to punish Canada (and apparently Americans) for no good reason and also make them the 51st state. You would think if you thought that negatively of a country that you wouldn’t want them in your country. A lot of these morons don’t want the northeast as part of the USA, even though we are constantly bailing the country out. It’s odd they want Canada.

Like almost all Canadians, I would never accept this nonsense about making us a state, but the one thing about the idea that amuses me is that if it ever happened, no Republican would ever again be elected president of the USA. Canada is about 12% of the US population and there would be an immediate shift of perhaps 11% to the Democrats nationally.
