I’m not opposed to tariffs. I just think it’s embarrassing that Trump doesn’t understand the process. ---

Trump doesn’t understand how the system works, which is embarrassing and possibly dangerous for a leader. The current situation on tariffs is just simply lose-lose. We lose if we don’t impose tariffs in the west because we’ll lose our auto industries (and many other industries). We lose if we do impose them because everything we do becomes more expensive and our industries become uncompetitive due to increased costs. We’re just screwed in the west. ---

True, but Trump believes that China is an enemy of the United States. For him to give aid and comfort to that enemy shows his character. ---
