Then explain why Crimea should be Russian. It never was Russian till Zar Katharina conquered it.
Why should a treaty not be valid? Be it for giving land to Ukraine or the treaty the Sovjets signed after they lost the war with Poland after WWI. And this you can expand to any treaty ever signed by any losing entity.
PS: I don’t want to redraw any now existing borders either. Incl. Lithuania and Crimea. Ask the Tatars there if they want to become Russian again.
My point was, that Russia/the Sovjets weren’t the good guys in WWll and it’s a joke that they celebrate themselves as the innocent victims as well as rescuer. Stalin enabled Hitler to attack Poland. Stalins war crimes and atrocities against the Poles but also Ukrainians and other „freed“ people are as despicable as is what the Nazis did. Not that I defend the Poles, the Crimea Tatars or Ukrainians etc. They all weren’t any better morally.
No, this is nonsense. That was not your point. You clearly stated (twice) that the Soviets “stole Polish land” and that they never returned it. You are now rewriting your point because your original point was obviously wrong.
I am generally pro-Ukraine, but the people of Crimea are Russian and want to be Russian and I don’t care if Nikita Khrushchev internally reassigned it to Ukraine in 1954 to make internal administration easier (since this was before the new bridge was built). Some say he did that to stack the votes in Ukraine with ethnic Russians but I have seen no proof of that.
Thats a lie. The Sovjets stole polish land, they lost to them after WWI. They signed a treaty. Why then signing treaties after you lost a war and often helped stopping losing even more land, if its just for the trash bin anyway.
