Slept 5 hours. Had a long 4 hour walk yesterday picked up 3 bags of litter. Got bad service at the Esso 144St and 64 Ave. Walked through the parking lot at Chevron where 2 ppl were critically shot and it was totally clean.
The white elephant building on 104 Ave. Has been renamed the 104 it’s for sale and been empty 20 years.
I eat lunch at the Subway across the street from that place almost every Saturday. Punjabilandia.
I’ve seen that building start and stop at least 3 times in the last 25 years. I’ll believe it when I see it.
The small convience store by that Subway across from the Esso has a stop work order on it from Feb. For the first time in my life walked into the wooded lot next to it and startled a raven. Saw a owl fly out of a tree at the bus stop by the Esso once.
Went for a walk after my post. Police vehicle unmarked went through the red light at 64 Ave and KGH turned left onto KGH no reason to Indo bearded officer driving with partner. I waved. Later a New Westminster , BC police vehicle on KGH went by jigged its lights. The homeless and addict problem in this part of KGH seems to be gone or vastly lower. Earlier someone driving pointed to anew orange tag on a electrical box on KGH just north of the excellent Hyland House homeless shelter. Vehicle a white truck stopped for some time outside Canada Inn orange safety lights on. After a couple minutes it drove north to the bus shelter on the east side of KGH . Black man with orange vest got out talked a lot of crime stuff that contradicted itself. He said no one cares about Jeremy. He had a black garbage bag and did something with the garbage can.
I walked home woman Indo with head scarf driving turned her head left all the way to look at me. I waved. 30 seconds later she honked. She then turned into Canada Inn was still in her vehicle a sedan as I went onto the lot. My room card worked on the outside door but not my room. I went to the office and she was talking to the Indo clerk behind the counter. She said something about not wanting to be beat up clerk mentioned one of my relatives she asked that I be helped first and said Jeremy was so poor growing up he did not have pyjamas. Clerk asked my name. You know the name of one of my relatives and you know the name of a guy who threatened to kill me but you don’t know my name? Lady exited out of a door not the entrance she told the clerk they would talk later. Clerk said his set did not like guys with knives and later that Surrey H.A. runs the jail . I was given a new key and it turned out not to work . Went back to the office and clerk was in the parking lot. I asked about the for sale sign on the fence twice he feigned ignorance of the sign. As we walked to my building (2 on site) he pinched his right buttock twice. He later touched his right buttock and made a sideways thumb sign. He opened my door with a pass key.
There are more cars here in the parking lot. Place as promised is pretty quiet way more quiet than the Thunderbird or Qualicum Bay Resort.
Picked up some litter of course. The bicycle I mentioned in another post is gone . Watching CTV News.
2 men were shot dead in a underground parkade in Newton last night. Surrey City councilmember Doug Elford was one of many eyewitnesses . Says the neighbourhood has had rolling gunfights before in the past. Police have not named any suspects. One victim made it out of the parkade but was shot dead nearby after a chase. Neither of the two news reports I read mentioned the race or names of the victims. Or gave descriptions of the attackers other than male. C’mon media do better. The Chevron shooting of two men was the day before also in Newton.

Doug Elford the city councillor on City News said he heard over 20 shots last night said police arrived fast. Two dead their name and race and that of any suspects not released. IHIT has come to Surrey 12 times in 5 months.
