The video itself, with that pointer only (no voice), is already hilarious, but the comments are too, lol. And yes, you know by the intensity of the pointers usage, which bothers her the most, lol. Great idea to visualize that problem which is easily to solve. As someone wrote correctly, she’s his partner/wife, not a maid. And even in case someone pays a maid, you simply put your stuff away. Otherwise your parents made something wrong - either that or you are simply disgusting. The only thing I don‘t mind is the toilet seat. Or rather, I prefer the seat cover closed completely. To me it’s irrelevant if it’s just that seat which isn‘t put down.
This is the best Quiz show I ever watched. I watched this long-run BBC show for a few weeks now on YouTube. David Mitchell and Lee Mack are polar opposite, yet match so well. And the moderator, also a comedian, is perfectly coordinating this laugh producing duo.
My all time favourite stories, true or not, are told by Bob Mortimer. With his dentistry as the absolute highlight of unbelievable stories, which was true btw, lol. But the story Shazia has to tell about how she once was grounded, is also amazing and funny due to Mack’s reaction, especially when he seemed to be utterly frustrated about her way of storytelling and wanting her to strangle (just assuming here, lol), and at the end, when being surprised the only reason of his team member is the fastness of the newspaper allegedly printing the story. Starts at about minute 4.
I love her for asking Boy George to give her a piggy back home. Great of him to give her a lift. But what boggles my mind is her recklessness to climb down and up a 3 store house on bed sheets, knotted to the window somehow. I can’t even imagine on what part of the window she did bind the bed sheets to and trusted that doing.
Conclusion: Let your kids out. They will find a way anyway if they really, really want to. Just offer them any help whatever late hour and whatever dumbness they might have done, to keep them as safe as possible. Not all are that lucky to meet friendly people like Shazia did. I was allowed to go out at a very young age already - and didn‘t want to, lol.
I think it ran for 18 years minimum, as I once saw a title with „season 18“ in it. The people on the show appeared to be very alive to me. I could be wrong, though.
Yes, despite utterly primitive, I find it very funny. Just like „Airplane“ or „Hangover“. I would give them all a 8 out of 10. But Comedies which also go a bit deeper by for example are able to weave some funny society/cultural critic into it or history etc., like „Black Adder“ or even „The Life of Brian“, or simply aren’t primitive and vulgar but warm your heart, like „Miranda“, are all a 10 to me.
P.S.: I am no fan of Monty Python but like only a few stuff they did. Although John Cleese is a comedic genius, just like Rowan Atkinson.
The only US comedy Movie which is a 10 on my list as well, is Plains, Trains and Automobiles, despite it probably contains the most vulgar scene ever in a comedy. But it’s fine, as everyone can understand why he says it, given the circumstances. A pretty sane and healthy reaction actually, if also counterproductive, lol. Steve Martin is a comedic genius too.
Come to think of it, this one here is another US comedy movie which makes a 10 on my list.
Jesus Christ, I forgot about those classic old US screwball movies like The Thin Man series or Bringing Up, Baby and The Philadelphia Story. Those 3 are way out of the league. My favourite Movies. Plus the Miss Marple series with Margarete Rutherford. Not real plain comedies, though. But they definitely play in their own league.
Bob Mortimer. What a peculiar and funny guy. His dentistry still is my highlight and I still can‘t believe it. And I like David Mitchells behaviour and way to communicate.
Another story by Bob Mortimer. He really is one of a kind. In a positive way. A snipers dream. God, how I love his story telling and the nicknames of his friends. If they would have played this funny game in the US, none of them would have made it into adulthood, lol.
