Discrimination only became a bad thing in recent decades. In the past, someone who had “discriminating tastes” was seen as highly cultured and educated. The UK’s media watchdog has spent tax dollars on an extremely useful study on which words for homosexuality are most offensive. Here are their findings. Apparently “batty-boy” is one of the worst. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard it.
