Our laws result in far less gun crime. I can walk anywhere at any time of day or night in this city without worrying about being shot. Very few Americans who live in cities can say that.

You know it. I was shot at in Whalley once did not even know the dudes. Heard gun shots on 64 Ave was arrested by the RCMP a Indo officer but a little child the only witness said I was not the guy and indicated they took off they put the plastic bags on my hands for the paraffin gun powder test. By the Superstore on 104 Ave heard gunshots saw the aftermath a guy screaming into a cell phone saying, “ I know it was you Mike I know Mike it was you.” A older female who knew the guy shot at had something to do with the Outlaws MC of all things a big Indo RCMP officer along with a few others heard all this. Was at the scene of a shooting on 135A St 15 seconds after it happened around 5 or 6 shots guy badly wounded survived made the front page of
the Surrey Now. My parents place Boundary Drive S. before they bought it someone shot a bullet into the garage window probably aiming for the long since moved Zaiser crooks that lived there next door you can Google search the van.general Google group for the name Zaiser for more info.
I wish all school form have ethics, manners and social/animal service on their schedules.
You don’t need to teach kids not to shoot up schools. We don’t teach kids to not shoot up schools here in Canada and no Canadian kids (or German kids) do that. US kids do that because they have access to guns, whereas our kids don’t.

My post was not related to the shooting phenomenon. But reading that Canadian quote I was pondering what‘s going wrong in society (and always were, as bullies aka the strongest and way more important, the most careless/empathyless bully influenced others and society still reflects this behaviour).
Come to think of it. The craftsman yesterday (boyfriend of my landlord), after his girlfriend told him to do a certain task, turned to me and said something like „life could be so wonderful without women“, to which I responded „Without women you wouldn‘t have the incentive to do anything“. Which he then felt the need to tell me a „fun“ story about a breast picture he put up in his school office (he has two master titles, one in carpentry and one in woodworking/cabinet making and teaches at craftsmen school. So, he should be a role model.). With a derogatory, sexist remark about women, that the breasts are the only good parts. Obviously, the chief secretary didn‘t like it very much and made a scene, incl. filing a complaint. Justly if I may add. He couldn‘t get his head around why. I just looked at him and was instantly reminded on my oldest brother. Not stupid at all - and yet stupid like hell. Two sides of the same medal.

I hearted but what about the Taber, AB school shooting over a decade ago.
They said elementary school. Taber was a high school. And we have 1/100 the shootings the US has. Some shootings are inevitable if you have guns in a society. US levels are insane.

Our next president is going to have to be a moderate, unfortunately. Someone that doesn’t refer to someone with other beliefs as “the enemy from within.” I’ve never considered myself the enemy. It looks like the extremes do well in primaries, so we’ll see what happens. It might be too late for us. The division has gone going on for 9 years. If that’s the case, hopefully we can get a socialist. Or at least someone pro medicare for all.
I used to disagree with my wife about who the worst president in our lifetime has been. I said it was Bush Jr. She said it’s Trump. I still think Bush Jr was responsible for more murder. I think she is right now. At least domestically. Bush Jr didn’t really divide or attack half the population.

We were so together 24 years ago today. It didn’t last long, but it wasn’t really personal if you disagreed with someone. You didn’t get called an enemy or think there was a chance you’d get shot.
Trump is easily the worst domestically. I think your country is going to be devastatingly damaged by 2029 when someone else takes over. Already US soft power worldwide is dead. All of Asia is looking to China and Russia and India. India just told Trump to go fornicate himself. Canada and Mexico are both looking to trade with anyone other than the USA. Inside your country, the sane half thinks the Cheeto is a Pedo, and the other half doesn’t care that he’s a pedo. I honestly don’t see how the USA can survive this in one piece. Fragmentation seems inevitable.
I have no idea who shot Mr Kirk but if he is caught he should face the death penalty. This killing was yet another reason for Canada to not have a second amendment gun culture in America.
Those other beliefs have to do with you converting or dying. Ate you sure you want to ignore it?
