Free Speech

This has always been the question. In general, the answer has always traditionally been “yes”. This generation is revisiting that, to the dismay of most right wingers.

Don’t be stupid.

Garbage. It doesn’t give anyone a license to do anything. It does give a man the power of persuasion through words.

You are strongly worded tonight, Michele, which is an error if you’re going to make such simple mistakes. Free speech does not give anyone the power of persuasion. It gives them the power to attempt persuasion. Nothing more.

You were in error. You are spreading Wills license to lie. It was my duty to point it out to you.

thats the essence of free speech

what is a lie to one is truth, nonsense sounds or whatever anyone wants it to be to another…

And hence your embrace of free speech thinki? lol

yes its easy when you embrace other opinions and you dont think you know it all

Some of the opinions offered up in here I am unable to embrace.

naturally, but it helps if you learn to at least tolerate them

I finished the Professor T series last night. Sorry to see it go. I will miss Frau Sneyers.

lol yes! great characters

It’s rare to see characters developed to that extent. I may start at the beginning again.

nice  i might have to watch it again right after i managed to find the courage to watch the english remake and get very disappointed

The English version is very dull. I would never have made it to the end. You have the advantage of understanding the language as I had to rely on subtitles. I’m sure I missed some nuances.

perhaps, but the important things are universal

It was a joke. Poorly executed I guess.

biden said he was gonna listen to the science
science said-
“vaccinate everybody except school kids, wait for a more contagious variant and then:
throw open the schools!!!”
or maybe biden heard wrong
maybe he has heard immunity
or maybe i misunderstood
maybe biden said he would listen to the silence

heckle me here

i am fake news

Some CEO supported the Texas abortion law and everyone lost their mierda and he had to quit. I don’t consider this to be a free speech issue at all. He had every right to tweet his support of the law. Others had every right to quit working for him. The board of directors had every right to fire him.

That said, I do wish we could go back to a world where people could disagree without wanting to destroy each other. That ship has sailed, however, and this is the world we live in. He should have known better.
