We import about 33 million peaches per year. By your logic, we shouldnāt complain about food prices, since we can just grow it all here.
And Iām Americans are just lining up to pick fruit at minimum wage.
Even if we could produce 33 million peaches, theyād be more expensive.

You have every right to complain. It just seems like we can have options. If the cost is unaffordable perhaps importing from a country that can provide the same or better quality produce at a lower price.

Itās because of tariffs. Walmart did this months ago with bananas. They knew they were going to pay a tax. So, they passed it on to the consumer. Same with peaches.
