Rain bands are sweeping the county. Oddly, there is a clear gap in between two of them. That gap is right over us. Report of 30 foot waves off Cape Canaveral. I believe we may be even with the eye at this time. Back to the murder mystery. ---

So while we’re waiting to see if Will’s house is destroyed, do any of you have opinions about crock pots? I’m thinking of buying one. Is it really as simple as throwing a bunch of veggies in and waiting 8 hours and it’s delicious? ---

Yes, it’s just that simple. Buy one, you won’t be sorry. Even a cheaper cut of beef comes out tender (not that you would care). Nice segue by the way. We brown veggies in the pan first. They probably wouldn’t take 8 hours. ---

You buy veggies and throw them in a pot and it tastes good and has almost no calories. Why doesn’t everyone do this? ---

I am into this. I’m going to buy one tomorrow, throw some potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini and whatever else I can think of in it and see what comes out. I’ll leave spices for the next tries as I want to see what it tastes like with nothing first. ---

Keep in mind it takes longer to cook a potato than a tomato. You will get recipes with it. Also online. ---
