What does the time of day have to do with anything? 8.5 million devices were affected. Ours suffered the “blue screen of death” but thank God it was at 2am. ---

These departments were closed at 230 AM. Oncology Transplantation General Internal Medicine Acute care Orthopedic Endocrinology Rheumatology Allergy Vision Outpatient phlebotomy Pre-op Pulmonary Cardiovascular These were open ER ICUs Inpatients We couldn’t turn a computer on. We would have told all patients at the closed departments to leave. Nurses were handwriting what tests they wanted on a piece of paper and we were sending results to them on paper through a pneumatic tube. We were lucky. ---
