I don’t mean to down play the seriousness but good hygiene and caution about hand shaking and kissing can significantly reduce the risk. Older people probably do need to stay away from people but this virus is survivable.
I canceled 3 medical appointments so I don’t have to go to the VA.

People are getting stressed because they don’t want to infect their parents and grandparents. And this is worse than the flu. You are contagious much longer and the mortality rate is significantly higher. I’ve seen that this is between 1 and 8% and influenza is 0.1%. This also has no vaccine which is a problem so the stress is justified. The tp and purell is odd to me though. I agree with you there I’ve worked all week so heading to store to see if anything is left. I’m going to a shaws which is never crowded to the point I’m surprised it is even open.
I know I am. I am flying through Toronto in 10 days and won’t stop to visit my mother or any family.
