Coronavirus

I have some masks with extra filters ordered and this looks. But more robust and goes behind the neck and not hooked behind the ears.
But wearing a mask even just a blue medical one, made me very aware of my jaw and how I was operating my mouth. It helped me realize when I was speaking not from a necessity to communicate a thought but primarily to try and intake food, which is dangerous.

I felt stronger by ignoring promptings to say things others need to say.

Also to realize how I was being abused and used through those promptings. It’s not worth the choking risk with food and drink and many words from someone placing immediate request without consideration for timing of breath and swallowing.

That is just what some people take for granted and assume is your goal as well.

That was an interesting read about Worldometer. It’s good to know the world gravitates toward an inaccurate source for monitoring active COVID cases. The only logical solution is to hire more data analysts and keep on testing. Until Worldometer produces accurate information, people should seek a different and reliable source for data. They provided 2 or 3 other sources in the article. I will probably continue to use Worldometer because the layout of the page is elementary.

I like the Johns Hopkins map. Although, it is a bit dark.

Probably a wise choice but more than likely, somewhat flawed. Someone should test it and find out where the flaws are so it can be recoded for accuracy and quality data.

apparently it uses data from worldometer…

If it’s dark and his source for data is Worldometer, why wouldn’t he just take his information straight from Worldometer? Especially since it’s a preferred source for the WHO.

it has more sources

"What are the sources of data informing the dashboard?

The data sources include the World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, 1point3acres, Worldometers.info, BNO, state and national government health departments, local media reports, and the DXY, one of the world’s largest online communities for physicians, health care professionals, pharmacies and facilities."

All flawed and undoubtedly unreliable.

I read nothing that suggested they’re any more inaccurate than anyone else. They aggregate the available data which is inherently an inaccurate process, but since there is no truly accurate COVID-19 data, it’s the best way we have to get numbers of some significance. As far as I can tell, Worldometer is as accurate a source as any.

Michele is not gong to like anything with the word “world” in it.

This is interesting. The top two stories on CNN right now are attacking this site. I wonder what the true story is. Something is clearly weird about this sudden attack on Worldometer.

fear they are affiliated with china…

China is the new bogeyman, true. Last year it was Russia. Iran and North Korea are others.

I continue to question the WHO’s position on COVID-19. The WHO’s position on medication in general is that, if it hasn’t been tested for a certain condition, the drug is useless. To me this is simply stupid. I mean, it’s wise and prudent to take this attitude for non-life-saving stuff. If you decide to use a chemo drug to cure baldness, that’s ridiculous. If you’re about to die of coronavirus, however, and you want to try hydroxychloroquine to save your own life, why shouldn’t you? It’s madness to tell someone who is dying that the drug that might cure them sitting on the shelf right over there hasn’t been through sufficient testing so they better get their affairs in order and prepare for death. Bureaucracy is not what we need when someone is facing imminent death. Tell them it hasn’t been tested and that it could actually kill them, and then let them make their own decision.

That said, the world blaming the WHO for not declaring this thing a pandemic early enough is equally stupid. No government should wait for the WHO to make policy. That’s just buck passing. We need to act on our own as needs dictate.

But but…that’s their job. Disclose the truth.

if people want to take these drugs thats their business but you dont want to make statements as an organisation that a drug is safe unless you are 99% sure because it would be a risk

every scared person will buy the drug and they are probably also worried of being sued (they are already being sued for failing to monitor chinas response properly lol)
imagine hundreds of thousands taking that drug and some after having sex with their wife find out that their triplets are misformed, braindamaged or died…
