American Exceptionalism

What made it the saddest?

John and Yvette Hoffman were also shot but they didn’t die so they must not matter to you.

Actually, Michele, I generally don’t care about any of the 160,000 people who die per day, aside from the ones I know (and nobody I know has died in the last few months). This is true for almost everyone who isn’t insane. We all pick and choose the occasional stranger to care about. I don’t choose to care about Charlie Kirk.

What about the method by which they die?

It’s certainly true for people who don’t care about their neighbor or society as a whole. Who outwardly pretend otherwise.

I don’t believe we “choose” who to love and care about. I didn’t know Charlie Kirk but the manner in which he died created a love for him and his work that has crushed my soul. I feel sorry for people who truly don’t feel that.

I care in a very general way. I care about the 47,000 people who die each year from guns in the USA, not individually but collectively.

Oh nonsense, Michele. Do you care about the Hortmans? If you say yes, you are lying. And if you are implying that I pretend I do care, that is also nonsense. I am clear that I don’t care about the 160k who die every day and I believe nobody does.

I feel sorry for people like you, who are moved to love a man who wanted to take school lunches away from kids. Charlie Kirk was a POS and the world is better off without him.

Thank you cause my heart beaks with every hate filled word you say.

Your heart should break for the poor kids that Charlie Kirk wanted to take lunches away from.

Why, when you already complain about childhood obesity and prefer kids push away from the table.

Michele, even you must know that’s stupid. Yes, children should eat reasonable portions, but children should eat. And yes, you should be taxed to pay for that instead of for tax cuts for billionaires. And you and all MAGA fools are not clever for not seeing that.

It’s not stupid when you say it.

Everything about it. He seemed like a nice kid. Smart. Friendly. Hardworking. It seemed to us like they wanted him to move up in the church, but he couldn’t change. So, he killed himself. We basically thought he was pretty much getting kicked out of the family. I have been to one that was worse, about 33 years ago. First open casket I’ve been to. 13 year old killed riding a bike. He was the 2nd kid the parents had lost. They had 1 left. That came on like a wave. He was the first dead person I’d seen and I couldn’t talk to his family in the line.

You assume he couldn’t. What proof do you have that he wasn’t changed on the inside? The fact that he killed himself? The fact that he couldn’t accept that his own sins kept him from believing he was worthy of forgiveness? That’s usually what prevents a person from growing and causes them to shrink away. He probably just failed to see that it’s not what he did or didn’t do. It’s what Jesus did. A common mistake. Still, you shouldn’t assume he couldn’t change when you don’t know what he was thinking.

He was a gay mormon. They have a high suicide rate. He killed himself. He was gay and that probably never changed.

I don’t believe I wrote anything with 100% certainty. Other than he was gay. There were no assumptions you are accusing me of. He was gay. It was known by everyone that spent 3 seconds talking to him that he was gay. If he was successfully converted, my guess is he would not have killed himself. I’m allowed to think that without having to defend myself. I’m not sure I know of anyone that has successfully been converted.

I’m not accusing you. You said, “he couldn’t chance”. How do you know? Do you know the thoughts of another man?

By all accounts he was never not flamboyant, but even if he wasn’t, if he was “cured” why would he kill himself?

PS
I don’t think you can change who someone is attracted to. That includes pedos.

Did I say he was cured? I think people kill themselves because they can’t accept what they are or what they’ve done. Doesn’t mean God doesn’t or shouldn’t or that we shouldn’t.

That is not the end goal. That is the result.

The result of?

No…the result is change.

Concur with the last sentence. A staff member looking after a school class in Toronto as the teacher was away a bit showed the murder video to 9 and 10 yr olds and called the slain man a hero. Some of the kids freaked at the gore which the networks refused to show. Thanks Grace for linking to the video. Assistant has been suspended.

It’s this cold ignorance about what homosexuality is (or transgender) or that you are unable to acknowledge how Reggie meant that school lunch package. No, you make stupid obesety remarks instead. I don’t care if it’s regarded hatred. This world is better off without that Kirk and it will be even better, if you would finally see your beloved hateful meanie of a deity today already. But this admittedly applies to half of the world human population, if not more.

Cold is the way in which you address me. Ignorance is the way you, with certainty, claim a person who lusts for sin cannot chance as if they are of another type of human species.

I don’t even know what you are talking about. I do not recall reading anything about a school lunch package but I’m certain my failure to see what you see is nothing more than cold ignorance so I care not if I should ever know.

Then I am thankful I am not of this world. I may be in it but I am not of it and want no part in such a cold place.

You will never know how much I wish I could be where Charlie Kirk is.

True, and you are about to witness a great revival and then the gospel will be preached to the whole world.
